Theater Imperium is a beautiful 80-seat flat-floor theater in the heart of Leiden. The theater is staffed by 60 volunteers, all members of the Imperium association.

There is a cozy foyer with service. The bar is open from one and a half hours before, until at least one and a half hours after the performance.
There are four own productions per year, so every theater season is different and we find the diversity and theatricality that we love! The theater group strives for high-quality theatre. Erasing directors – professional/semi-professional – determine the cast during two audition evenings. There are nine performances of each piece spread over three weekends.

In October, December, February and May Toneelgroep Imperium plays in the theater. The other months of the year, the theater is rented out to other drama, dance and music groups from Leiden and the surrounding area. You can also reserve tickets for this.
