Pieterskerk Leiden
For nearly 900 years the Pieterskerk Leiden has been the defining reference point of Leiden. The two keys of St Peter symbolise Leiden and symbolically unlock the gates of heaven and those of the world.

For nearly 900 years the Pieterskerk Leiden has been the defining reference point of Leiden. The two keys of St Peter symbolise Leiden and symbolically unlock the gates of heaven and those of the world. This symbolism is reflected in the use of the Pieterskerk. A transformation from Catholic church to Reformed house of worship and currently into a multi-functional meeting place in a listed building of extraordinary cultural and historical value. The church has already opened its doors to famous visitors, including the likes of Floris V, Rembrandt van Rijn, John, Abigail & Quincy Adams, Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela, George Bush Sr., Princess Beatrix and King Willem-Alexander.
The Pieterskerk Leiden is highly suitable for any conceivable gathering: concerts, conferences, cultural manifestations, dinners, parties, receptions, presentations, symposiums, fairs, exhibitions, meetings or other events.
