Celebrate the beauty of cherry blossoms and Japanese culture at the Wereldmuseum with a day of food, music, workshops, and more at our Hanami Festival.
It's spring! It's hanami time! In Japan, people go out during this period, while enjoying good food and drinks, to admire the beauty of the sakura, the cherry blossom. They call this Hanami. It is also a time to reflect on the transience of life, because the flowering time is beautiful, but short.
The museum is organizing a festival day on March 23, 2025 with indoor and outdoor activities dedicated to the cherry blossoms and Japan such as a food market, music, workshops and lectures.
