From Paint to Felt and Weaving

In this world where I sometimes wonder every day whether I am doing the right thing and all the alarm bells are ringing around me, I know one thing…..

What I learned as a small child because my parents did development work, first in Peru, later in Burkina Faso... is that these countries should not be forgotten. I am an outsider, always have been, but I always felt welcome in the village of Gorom Gorom in Burkina Faso. In my portraits I try to show what I find beautiful. The color combinations in my paintings give me a feeling that everything is right. Working with paint and brushes makes me forget everything around me. Hopefully I inspire you with my work and certainly, every step counts. For a positive awareness of our life on earth, a small gesture can already do something.
