National Stargazing Days
The national stargazing days are on the weekend of 16 and 17 March. The volunteers of the four Leiden astronomy associations are organizing a weekend full of fun astronomical activities in the Oude Sterrewacht!
There is a lot to experience at the Leiden Observatory. The 4 historical binoculars can be viewed, a planetarium and separate telescopes including Lunt to look at the sun safely. Presentations about astronomy and for the little ones there is a crafts and drawing corner. There is a light lab for everyone where experiments on observations and colors are explained by astronomers. An extensive program with plenty to do in both clear and cloudy weather.
Everyone is welcome and admission is free. Reservations are not necessary.
