Gulli Gudmundsson Trio

With his characteristic sound, Icelandic bassist Gulli Gudmundsson has been one of the most robust players on the Dutch scene for decades (Gatecrash, Wolfert Brederode Trio and Yuri Honing Acoustic Quartet). For years he toured with the versatile pianist and Rhodes player Jeroen van Vliet in Eric Vloeimans' Gatecrash, which allowed them to sense each other perfectly and the idea arose to record an album with Koen Smits as well.
Both jazz giants and the young trumpet talent Smits find each other in their passionate, lyrical sound and emotional playing.
