The internationally-renowned collection

The internationally renowned collection contains numerous highlights such as 'The Last Judgement' (1526-27) by Lucas van Leydens, beautiful stained glass, and paintings by Rembrandt and his contemporaries. Since 1874, the museum has been located in a historic 17th century inspection hall for woollen fabrics, which was carefully restored between 2017-2019 and expanded with modern architecture. The special interaction between past and present that takes place here makes Museum De Lakenhal a source of inspiration for everyone.
